dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Turkey, Slightly curved, single-edged blade with deep Arabic mark; fine, solid, white metal hilt, richly decorated with filigree and in dark patina, base covered with reptile skin. Wooden, leather-covered scabbard with mounts in bronze foil, embossed with floral motifs and decorated with three, small bands of reptile skin. Scarce. length 70.8 cm.
dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Vietnam, Smooth-bore, two-stage, 11 mm cal. barrel, with decorations at the girdle and fore-sight; lock with remains of engravings. Wooden, half stock, decorated with mother-of-pearl inlays, checkered grip. Metal trigger-guard, decorated in bronze, silver and nielloed. No ramrod. length 146 cm.
dating: Second half of the 18th Century provenance: Ripoll, Smooth-bore, bronze, three-stage, 14 mm cal. barrel, first octagonal, then of sixteen facets and finally round with moulded muzzle, engraved with floral motifs; miquelet, engraved lock, rust damages. Wooden, full stock (part missing) with brass mounts, trigger-guard with iron belt hook. No ramrod. length 22.5 cm.
A WW I Casualty group to include bronze memorial plaque, naming Patrick Callaghan, 1914-15 Star, British War and Victory, 10761 PTE. P. CALLAGHAN R. DUB. FUS., together with a portrait photograph and badge. (6) Private Patrick Callaghan 1Bn Royal Irish Fusiliers was killed in action 06/05/15 the second day of the Gallipoli Landings at the age of 25 and is remembered with honour at V Beach Cemetery.Please be aware that it has been suggested that the naming on these medals may be later or official replacements, on close inspection I would suggest that the BWM at least has been re-named.

Williams Devon R. (Records show several Edgar Williams but probably 2790 Pte Edgar Williams, Devon Regiment, killed in action 06/10/16.)
