A pair of grand tour bronze urns,19th century, each on a simulated marble base,21cm wide15cm deep25.5cm high (2)Condition ReportThe urns are loosely attached to the bases, and can be rotated around. There are a few knocks to the carved wood bases, and losses to decoration. The bottom of one base has a green baize lining, however it is torn and worn, the other is uncovered. There is verdgris to the interiors of the urns and slight marking to the exterior. There is a slight gap between the handle and bowl of one urn. Please see additional images. Generally however, the urns are aesthetic pleasing with a worn and aged look.

Several other similar versions of this example exist in the collections of several prestigious museums around the world, including the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.Condition ReportOverall the condition of the bronze is good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. Wear to the original lacquers and areas of reddish patina. Round casting flaw or historic damage and repair to the satyress' right shoulder. Small hairline crack or casting flaw to the satyress' tail. The figures, tree trunk and base probably associated and altered over time. The hexagonal base has a small loss to the back/underside. The bronze figure on it's own is 7cm wide, 8cm deep, 15.5cm high.
