Hand built by D M Macer-Wright when he was Head River Keeper for the Littlecote fishery on the River Kennet. His father was D Macer-Wright, author and retired river keeper, columnist for the Field, Country life, Countryman & Trout & Salmon magazines.

A Great War Pair to 5162 Pte.M. Byrne, 7th Bn. Leinster Regiment, Killed in Action 31/08/1916;. British War and Victory Medals (5162 Pte. M. Byrne. Leins. R.). Great War Bronze Memorial plaque, ' Martin Byrne'. Private Martin Byrne, Son of Mrs Sarah Byrne, of Drogheda Row, Monasterevan, Kildare and of the 7th Battalion Leinster Regiment, 16th Irish Division, 47th Brigade, was killed in action on the 31st August 1916 at the battle of the Somme, he was just 19 years of age, he has no known grave and is remembered with honour at the Thiepval Memorial to the missing. (From a hand-written poem found with medal group). So Long As Love Abides. They laid him where he fell in Battle, far away from me,. Where iI cannot plant his grave with flowers of memory. That last sweet solace is denied, an exile there he lies,. Underneath the alien stars and unfamiliar skies. Yet the part of him I loved, the spirit and the mind. Is clothed in immortality and cannot be confined,. To the faithful death is life and no dark gulf devides,. He will dwell within my heart so as love abides.

Lee Commander 18th Division regarding Private Gammon's gallant conduct and devotion to duty in the field on 15th March 1917, during Operation Behucout.

A Great War Bronze Memorial Plaque to Private R.S. Buckley, 15th Battalion, Prince of Wales Own Civil Service Rifles, Killed in Action 28th March 1918. British Victory Medal (535540 Pte. R.S. Buckley. 15-Lond.R.), nearly extremely fine Bronze Memorial Plaque 'Robert Stanley Buckley', with enclosure slip and in card box of issue. The History of the Prince of Wales Civil Service Rifles, published by Somerset House 1921. Official War Office correspondence to Mrs E. Buckley, wife of above. Silver and enamel 'sweetheart brooch' Civil Service Rifles. Private Robert Stanley Buckley of the 15th Battalion Prince of Wales Civil Service Rifles, late of 9 Sanhill Road, Maida Vale, London and former clerk with the Savings Bank Department, Blythe Road, Kensington, London, was killed in action, whilst attached th the 9th battalion London Regiment (Queen Victoria's Rifles) on the 28th March 1918, during the German Spring offensive of that year, he was 27 years old. Because of the intensity of the fighting during that period Rifleman Buckley was buried where he fell on the battlefield, his body was later exhumed and re-intered in the Chauny Communal Cemetery, where a headstone bears his name, he is remembered with honour.
A collection of photographs, some framed and general ephemera relating to Jaques Vigas a musician, film actor, hotelier and antique dealer. He was at Doone Cottage on Exmoor and two Hotels in Torquay and included are photographs and ephemera relating to these. Also a plaster copy of a bronze bust cast of him by Paul Mountford together with a programme for the Royal Academy 1921 exhibition where it was exhibited (a lot)
