Als Nachfolger von Matthias Golling war er seit September 1772 Hofurmacher unter Max III Joseph von Bayern (1745-1777), Zunftmeister wurde er im Jahr 1781. Lit. Josef M. Stadl, Münchner Uhrmacher aus fünf Jahrhunderten - dort erwähnt ein signiertes Standuhr-Werk mit Mondphase und 4/4-Schlag.
