a patinated bronze study of a greyhound chasing a hare, signed in gilt lettering 'PJ' and titled 'Waterloo Cup 2005', length 41cm *The Waterloo Cup was the premiere coursing event, established in 1836, held each year at the Altcar Club, near Liverpool. This bronze was designed for the final Waterloo Cup meet in 2005, with five being made plus this example which is the only original artist's proof. The current vendor approached the Waterloo Cup Committee prior to the final running in 2005 to suggest that the first in the edition of five be given as a prize to the winner on such a historic occasion. The Committee agreed, and Clarissa Dickson-Wright presented the No.1 bronze to the winner. *CR Good, rich colour and condition appears excellent.
