Henry Dasson, (1825-1896), a Louis XVI style mahogany pedestal with gilt bronze mounts signed ÔHenry Dasson 1890’, the square top with canted corners over a ribbon moulded gilt bronze border, the frieze of four panels depicting gilt bronze leaves and flowers over four gilt bronze ram’s head capital mounts united by leaf and berry garlands over a square tapering column with canted corners and tapering panels within gilt bronze beaded borders on a square plinth with canted corners and leaf moulded gilt bronze bands, 41.5" high, 12" square.. Note: Henry Dasson, 106 Rue Ville-du-Temple. (1825-1896) Important Furniture Manufacturer with high quality mercurial gilded mount, specialising in copies of 18th century exhibited Louis XV and XVI pieces. His business closed in 1894.
