Scarce Victorian Gallantry awards comprising Quiver medal (silver type) with blue and white ribbon denoting a water rescue, named to William Morgan, dated 8th February 1894 in box of issue together with a Life Saving Medal of the Order of St John (2nd type) bronze issue named to William Morgan, dated 27th July 1894 in box of issue, together with citation for the rescue which reads "for rescuing a passenger at Portland Road Station, London, on 8th February 1894. The man, who was particularly intoxicated, had fallen on the metals in front of an approaching train, but was rescued by two porters, who jumped on to the line for the purpose, pushed the man under the edge of the platform and held him there until the train has passed them and was stopped, and backed."
After Francesco Laurana (1430-1502) - Ippolita Maria Sforza (1446-1484) - A rare 19th Century Grand Tour portrait plaster bronze effect bust depicting the Italian Noblewoman. Ippolita Maria Sforza was a member of the Sforza family which ruled the Duchy of Milan from 1450 until 1535. She was the first wife of Alfonso, Duke of Calabria, who later reigned as King Alfonso II of Naples. The original marble bust was one of 9 works attributed to the artist and was destroyed in the Second World War. Measures: 51cm high.
C Detouche of Paris - A 19th Century French antique bronze ormolu cased mantel clock having a gilded figurine of a perched bird to top with scrolls, flowers and leaves. The case set with hand painted Sevres type floral ceramic panels. The central circular barrel dial with white enamel face and Roman numeral chapter ring. Signed C. Detouche Fseur De L'Empereur Rue St Martin Paris. The movement stamped. Measures: 26cm tall.
