19th Century Chinese Ducal large baluster vase of ancient bronze Hu form. The flared mouth over cylindrical neck decorated with alternating bands of trellis patterns over Ruyi heads, applied bamboo handles, the Hu form body with stylised lotus band entwined with Buddhist emblems, the waist with Ruyi band over broad design of floral subjects over lappet band. A French Art Nouveau gilt and cold painted bronze tazza. Surmounted with a pair of grasshopper handles, moulded with a lizard in the well, raised on a slender baluster pedestal further adorned with snails and supported on a spreading circular foot with three beetles, 18cm wide. Condition Report : No breakage. Stem slightly bent along with one grasshopper. Minor rim dent.
