A most unusual Oriental water dropper in the form of a compressed shape Teapot crafted from dark Bronze coloured porcelain and having a side loop handle and brief spout, two 7 character inscriptions to the shoulder and a 12 character mark to the base, complete with lid and simply turned Ebony type stand/plinth. 4 1/2'' diameter, 1 5/8'' high approx.
A rare early Thai gilt bronze of the Buddha in the Pallalai Forest, probably Ayutthaya, 18th century. The Buddha seated one palm facing downwards with an elephant and a monkey offering him gifts. Buddhas in this form without the jewelled adornment typical of the 19th c. Rattankhosin period are the earliest example of the 16th c. and traced its origin to Lanna.
A pair of bronze Viking warriors, each in typical Norse dress, wearing helmets, one standing holding a shield and a sword raised above his right shoulder, the other standing with a spear, with shield upon his back and axe at his side, each on a circular socle base, unsigned, 42 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Overall with some general wear and scuffs. Sword, dagger and spear with denting and mis-shaping. Sword quite loose in its handle. Spear with screw fitting to base and also quite loose.
