Plus “Resting Horseman”. Depicting three horses unsaddled, with two French cavalrymen in watering caps, talking, kit stacked on ground in woodland scene. Diorama of 88mm metal figures depicting six figures of Romans. Comprising Generals, greeting each other. Standard bearers in attendance with trumpeter and legionary. Plus another – 5 metal figures probably by Rose Miniatures – Egyptian, 3000-2000 BC, Nubian slave 2000-1200 BC, a Gaulish Chieftain, bronze-age, a Persian archer 500BC and a Officer 500BC. “The Empty Jug”. Depicting a cellar interior with four Napoleonic soldiers, two seated at table, the other inspecting an empty upturned jug. Another with a maid servant looks on. Plus another titled “Watering”. Depicting a postilion watering two horses in a stable block. Plus “French Line Infantry 1804-1807 At The Frontier”. Depicting a Canteenier with wagon and donkey being questioned by Officer with Grenadier, three other soldiers and a dog are in the scene, with a woodland background. “The Departure”. Depicting a two horse drawn berline with postilion, a trunk being packed for the journey, with Officer and his lady looking on. Another “Elizabethans”. Depicting six figures in a Tudor room with furniture. Elizabeth 1 addressing courtiers and two figures of the church. Plus another – “The Stirrup Cup”. Depicting an interior with a postilion taking refreshment from an aproned waiter. An associate sits drinking nearby. All well painted. GC-VGC
