H Sanders, a bronze plaque of Edward Ernest Bowen (1836-1901), the bearded Harrow school master depicted head on within architectural oak frame, signed and dated 1925, 38 x 30.50cm (14.82 x 11.90in). Bowen arrived at Harrow in 1859 and stayed until his death. Besides other innovations, and sporting activities he wrote the famous Harrow School song 'Forty Years On'.
