Um 1996.69 x 24 x 18 cm.Verso unten monogrammiert "K.Sch.", bezeichnet "II" sowie mit dem Gießerstempel "SCHMÄKE DELMENHORST". Auflage 5 num Ex.Der Kontakt mit dem Boden ist auf ein Minimum reduziert, so dass die elegant stilisierte Figur im Flug begriffen scheint. Schwabes aufsteigender Ikarus unterscheidet sich nur wenig vom Stürzenden; auch hier sind die Flügel bereits klumpige Gebilde. Seit 1981 beschäftigte sich Klaus Schwabe intensiv mit der Technik des Wachsausschmelzverfahrens. Es entstanden ab 1982, nach einem Unfall des Künstlers, mehrere Skulpturen, die versehrte Körper, darunter den Ikarus, thematisieren. In den 1990er Jahren griff der Künstler dieses Thema erneut auf. Schwabe, seit 1965 als freiberuflicher Bildhauer in Leipzig tätig, lehrte ab 1969 plastisches Gestalten an der Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig, anschließend an der Dresdner Akademie. Beöthy, Etienne -- "Aranysor"Bronze mit goldener und kupferfarbener Patina, auf schwarz emaillierten Blechsockel montiert. 1919.45 x 12,5 x 12,5 cm.Seitlich auf dem Sockel signiert "E. Béothy", datiert und schwer lesbar betitelt, auf der Innenseite des Sockels auf Klebeetikett (von fremder Hand?) datiert und bezeichnet "Serie d'Or". Auflage 10 num. Ex.Bronzeskulptur von poetischer Zartheit. "Aranysor" zählt zu seinen charakteristischen, frühen, um 1919 entstandenen Arbeiten. Der architektonische Aufbau aus genau berechenbaren Proportionen lässt konstruktive Tendenzen erkennen. Bald nach seinem Architekturstudium in Budapest fand Beöthy Kontakt zum Künstlerkreis "MA" um Lajos Kassák, der sich weitgehend an den Maximen des Konstruktivismus und des Suprematismus orientierte, und er besuchte 1919 die freie Kunstschule von József Rippl-Rónai. Im gleichen Jahr wurde er durch die Beziehungen zur Malergruppe „Section d’Or“ zu seiner Schrift „La Série d’Or“ angeregt, in der er das Prinzip des Goldenen Schnittes zur bestimmenden Gestaltungsidee erklärte und in deren Zusammenhang unsere Skulptur zu sehen ist.Provenienz: ehem.
