First plate with flat chip to underside of rim. Second plate with paint flake. Both with typical minor surface wear. 070220

A French Bronze Ormolu Striking Mantel Clock, early 19th century, case surmounted by a lady in robes seated on a rocky plinth holding her hand out to a sheep, base with scroll and floral mounts, 4-inch enamel dial with Roman numerals, twin barrel movement with outside countwheel striking on a bell, converted to spring suspension, 39cm high see illustration 29.01.20 Ormolu surfaces are discoloured, two securing screws are missing to both sides next to the bezel surround, dial with small chips around the left winding hole and minor scratches in parts, movement plates are dirty and need cleaning, later converted from silk to spring suspension, strike is working, movement in going order, with a pendulum.

Total watch weight 104.9g.

Dagonet, with Houdebine foundry signature for Paris, and further stamped number 22678 26 to reverse of base, h.85.5cm.Very little patina wear.No apparent faults.

A large Regency tortoiseshell, gilt bronze and polished brass mounted inkstand, the central floral cast handle over removable cover, flanked by square glass inkwells with circular brass and tortoiseshell inset removable covers, with opposing front and rear concave pen recesses and single long frieze drawer, to proud squat turned brass feet, w.29.8cm, d.24cm.Small loss to tortoiseshell on one side and at back.Otherwise no apparent faults, a good example.
