Kingdom of Thrace, Lysimachos (306-281 BC). Tetradrachm, mint of Amphipolis, c. 323-281 BC.Obverse: Head of the deified Alexander the Great facing right, wearing the horn of Ammon. Reverse: ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ – ΛΥΣΙΜΑXΟΥ, Athena enthroned left, holding Nike, shield decorated with Medusa’s head resting against base of throne, spear resting behind, caduceus in left field, monogram in left right field. (29mm, 16.03g), Could be a very good 18-19 Century Grand Tour Silver reproduction. With another bronze coin.
