A SMALL 17TH/18TH CENTURY CHINESE BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER, weighing 190gm, the censer with bamboo-form handles and feet, the sides cast with bamboo shoots, the base cast with a six-character Xuande mark, 3.25in(8.3cm) wide including handles & 2.6in(6.5cm) diameter at rim & 1.6in(4.2cm) high to rim & 2.1in(5.5cm) high to top of handles. Bought in Rangoon 1929.

A FINE QUALITY CHINESE BRONZE LION & GRAPEVINE MIRROR, weighing 1.23Kg, possibly Tang Dynasty with later inlaid decoration to the reverse, the centre with a crouching beast knop encircled by vine, phoenix and sinuous 'lions', within a further border to the rim of vine, galloping horses and other creatures, the reverse with unusual inlaid decoration and calligraphy, some of the calligraphy translating 'The bamboo reports the coming of Spring' and 'Made in the Zhou Dynasty', 6.8in(17.2cm) diameter. Bought in London 1931.

Arthur Dooley (1929-1994), "Poseur", titled and dated 1974 on brass plaque on marble base, bronze sculpture, height 28cm.; 11in. Artists' Resale Right ("droit de suite") may apply to this lot.Condition Report: The bronze is in good, original condition with just some superficial surface scratches as shown and other minor surface marks with possible verdigris as shown. The marble base has some minor knocks and losses as shown in the detail images and the green material on the underside is falling off although still largely present.

Geoffrey Key (1941-), "Trojan", signed and dated '86 on the base, bronze sculpture, 24in(W) x 24in(H) x 12in(D). * Geoffrey Key's mastery of form is most readily seen in his figures and horses. These works reveal his skill and ease of expression as a draughtsman, painter and sculptor. Through his handling of line, tone and colour, and stripping away the superfluous in the imagery, he interprets and reveals the essence of his subject with certainty and sincerity. Trojan is so much more than an illustration of a horse - it is imbued with powerful meaning. Far from a simple representation, it is a manifestation of strength, movement, balance and harmony, all captured as if suspended in the essential of the moment.
