Bronze-Schiffsglocke der MS Altenbruch, 1927Original, Gewicht ca. 20 kg, Höhe 38 cm, Ø 37 cm, sehr guter voller Klang. - Die MS Altenbruch wurde 1927 auf der Norderwerft in Hamburg als Lotsenschiff gebaut und 1939 der Kriegsmarine unterstellt. Umgebaut zum Minensuchschiff lief es 1945 auf eine Mine und sank innerhalb weniger Minuten, erst 1954 gelang es, das Schiff in den Hamburger Hafen zu schleppen und abzuwracken. Hierbei wurde die Glocke geborgen. Converted into a minesweeper, it hit a mine in 1945 and sank within a few minutes. In 1954 the ship was towed into Hamburg harbor and broken up. The bell was salvaged in the process. Hatten die Form von glücksverheißenden Tieren (Luduan, Kraniche, Elefanten) und wurden ursprünglich paarweise an der Seite eines Herrscherthrons aufgestellt.
