Two early bronze mortars, one decorated to the tapering bowl with fleur de lis motifs, below a flared rim and above an inverted foot, 9 cm high, 11 cm diameter, together with a graduating trio of early 20th century measures, ranging from 7-11 cm high, and a pair of eastern raised brass vases of bulbous form with cylindrical rims, 12 cm high, 10.5 cm diameter (7).
Duke of Wellington “British Victories in Portugal, Spain & France 1808-1818”A scarce period example, Circa 1815. The bronze circular case is embossed with the head and shoulders of the Duke, the reverse with text and laurel wreath. The case contains eight paper circulates, to each side the name of a Battle and date. Overall GC. Viewing Recommended.

Private Frederick James Hughes was a native of Hampton Hill and enlisted at Hounslow into the 1/8th Bn of the Middlesex Regiment. He landed in Egypt on the 30th August 1915 and shortly afterwards the Bn was transferred to the Western Front. He was Killed in Action on the 15th September 1916.

Private James Watson was born and enlisted at Gateshead, he is confirmed as landing in France after the 1st January 1916 being awarded the pair only. He was Killed in Action on the 20th September 1917.
