Dutch Medal for Humane Action 1912 (bronze) named to A. Palmer, in original case. Plus a family Birth Certificate. At Aldeburgh on 17th Jan 1912 the Dutch Schooner `Voorwarts` went ashore during a heavy gale. The Southwold Lifeboat `Alfred Corry` was launched and managed to rescued four hands and a women. Seventeen Dutch Awards were issued for the rescue, all to the crew of the Lifeboat, no RNLI awards were made. Comes with research. EF
Belgium 20 Centimes Essai 1859 Piedfort struck in bronze with 25 stamped above the denomination and 5 stamped below UNC with good subdued lustre, unlisted by Krause, cataloguer`s note: the numbers stamped on these pieces were made by the Brussels mint to test for robustness and wear. Many different metal compositions were being tested at this time and these pieces although fairly frequently encountered, seldom show up in mint state
