Two Chinese polished bronze censors, one with six character mark, the other with marks to rim. Each diameter approximately 4 ins (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The larger of the two censors is in good condition with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. The base is a little scuffed and requires a polish but has no significant problems. The smaller censor is in less good condition. It has been dropped, has a dent and a crack and has some stress marks around the rim. The original polished finish is a little tired in places. The base requires a good clean. Weight 658 grams. Height 8 cm excluding stand.
A pair of 19th century bronze putto candelabra, five branch, each raised on a marble base. Height 19 ins (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: These are both in extremely good condition with no repairs and no restoration. There is one of the ten detachable sconces missing. Very minor nibbles around the moulded proud section of the marble beneath the putto. These are almost insignificant. The gilding appears to be original. There is a small hole to the left of one of the feet of the figure which appears on the left of our image but again this is not any great issue.
A Bergman style bronze chick emerging from an egg, cold painted. Length 2.5 ins. CONDITION REPORT: We cannot see any makers names, marks or numbers on the piece. The condition is generally good with no repairs or restoration. There are some dents to the egg which should be visible from our images. There is some minor rubbing and loss to the paintwork on the bird. There are two holes in the bottom of the egg which correspond to two holes in the bottom of the bird. Perhaps the piece has been mounted on a base at some point. The piece does look to have age and we would have though circa 1930. It is certainly not a modern reproduction piece.
