A Japanese bronze vase, of baluster form, decorated fish, signed, 18.5 cm high Condition report Report by NG Wear to base, with some heavy scratches. Some heavy scratches and rubbing to body of vase, especially to the one fish in highest relief. A couple of other marks and rubbings to surface. Two character marks visible.
19TH CENTURY FRENCH GILT BRONZE, TWO TRAIN MANTEL CLOCK, the case overall mounted with porcelain panels, painted with domestic scenes and river landscape, and being surmounted by a large vase shaped finial over a porcelain face with Roman numerals on a step base. The base marked: John Walker, Regent St., London. French brass drum movement, striking on one bell. Overall 40cm high, approx. CONDITION REPORT: Good condition, a little grubby and dusty but no obvious damage or losses, includes key, not tested. No pendulum.
AUSTRIAN COLD PAINTED BRONZE STUDY OF AN EAGLE PERCHED ON A LARGE NATURAL ROCKY OUTCROP, with its wings outstretched, by Bergman of Vienna and having trademark initial: 'B' motif under tail. Overall 36cm high with a wingspan of 37cm. CONDITION REPORT: A little dusty and worn in places but no noted damage or losses.
SIR WILLIAM GOSCOMBE JOHN, (British, 1860-1952), 'Sketch Model of the Statue at Aberystwyth', of Charles Edwards, DD. Patinated bronze on oak plinth. The bronze figure 34cm high. Note: Thomas Charles Edwards (1837-1900), Welsh minister, writer and academic, the First Principal of the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth. CONDITION REPORT: Overall no obvious damage.
JAPANESE PATINATED BRONZE LIDDED BOX in the form of a temple bell overall decorated in relief with gilded dragons writhing amongst clouds above waves, with two sixteen petal chrysanthemum flower heads, geometric patterns to the cover and gilded petal band to the base. Signed to the base. 14.5cm high. CONDITION REPORT: General surface wear with age. Tarnishing to interior. Noticeable dent to rim of jar.
19TH CENTURY FRENCH GILT BRONZE FIGURAL TWO TRAIN MANTEL CLOCK, the case surmounted by a reclining Classical female above white enamel face with Roman numerals flanked by two painted porcelain cherub panels, overall with scrolled and foliate motifs, on a scroll moulded serpentine wooden platform base. The clock 36cm high. CONDITION REPORT: Crazing and cracking to the face, wear to gilding generally, movement not tested.
