A late 19th/early 20thC Chinese bronze covered censer, boldly cast overall raised decoration depicting dragons chasing the flaming pearl amidst cloud scroll, the cover cast with a large pearl finial, a dragon mask to the front of base, a pair of dragon mask loop handles, raised on three mask & paw feet, ornate circular seal mark to underside, 8.2" across handles.
Original vintage sport poster for 33rd Bobsleigh World Championships held in the ski resort of Alpe d'Huez in France in February 1967 featuring a dynamic design in shades of blues and whites of a bobsleigh speeding down the track with snow spraying up in front of trees on the horizon, the title and text in colourful letters above and below. The FIBT World Championships 1967 four man bobsleigh event was cancelled due to melting ice whilst the two man bobsleigh event was won by Austria (Erwin Thaler and Reinhold Dumthaler) with Italy winning the silver medal and the USA winning bronze medal; Alpe d'Huez hosted the bobsleigh events the following year for the 1968 Winter Olympics / X Olympic Winter Games that was hosted by Grenoble.
