An Art Deco-style lapis lazuli desk clock with a dodecanal dial with a gilt bronze branch surmount with frosted glass roosting birds with polished wood backing over a diamonte set lapis dial and stepped base. 19.5 cm wide x 22 cm overall height. The bird' glass bodies are all intact and each one has both applied glass eyes, their wire claws are slightly bent but intact and I can see signs of discolouration of the adhesive used to fix their legs in place (most likely from the original manufacture). The bough that the birds are perched upon is fixed with a small bronze screw and this needs tightening ipThe clock is a quartz movement but the clock is not currently running, I can not be sure why but the chances are that it is just an expired battery but could be more involved.Having said that the clock is not running I can't see any outward signs of abuse or damage that would lead me to conclude that the clock was damaged, the crown will set the hands when pulled out to adjust the time, however, this is in no way a guarantee of accuracy or reliability or indeed the condition of the movement. In short, Generally good decorative order but the movement isn't currently running
