c. 1963 Massey Ferguson 35X TractorReg. no. ASV 583Chassis no. SMMY 358519Engine no. 19B6711The MF35 was launched in October 1956 to succeed the instantly recognisable TE20 ‘Little Grey Fergie’. Initially this new model had grey wheels with a bronze colour body, but this was changed to red and grey. In November 1962 the company launched the MF35X, which had an increased output and the additional ‘multi-power’ system, which allowed the driver to shift up or down a gear ratio without using the clutch. This 35X was gifted in 1978 to the current family, by the original owner. It was restored to a high standard in 1984, when original features were retained, and this was maintained by its late owner, who was an award-winning home-build aircraft manufacturer. ASV 583 is offered in running condition, although we are advised of a water leak, possibly as a result of old seals; there is a current V5C.Estimate: £3,000 – 4,000
