An Interesting Group of Medals Including Photographs, Cloth Badges all Relating to Colonel Frederick V. Harris - United States Army, medals include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal (four Bronze Stars), Vietnam Cross of Gallantry. Frederick Harris was born on July 12th, 1916 Palm Beach, Florida, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1934. Commissioned in the Reserve (Infantry) Christmas 1941 as a 1st Lieutenant on motor maintenance course No. 6, Fort Benning, Georgia. In September 1943 he joined 88th Infantry Division as a Division Staff Officer. February 16th 1945 Major Harris had been awarded the Bronze Start Medal for Meritorious Service in Combat, including taking orders to forward units under artillery and machine gun fire. In September 1963 he was posted to Vietnam with a rank of Colonel. It is believed that Colonel Harris retired in 1966 on reaching the age of 50, he died on April 28th 1999. A lot worthy of closer inspection.

Comprising: his ' Pour La Victoire ' 1916 certificate, his Croix De Guerre War Medal, another Croix De Guerre (with bronze palm - for a mention is dispatches), and his Medaille Militaire ( Military Medal ). All neatly framed in a glass presentation frame.
