REEL: Extremely rare Hardy 1894-1897/8 model Combined Fly and Spinning reel in alloy, 3.5" diameter, 1 5/8" wide, correct twin ivory handles to face plate, raised central boss with oil hole, 5 pillar brass annular guide, backplate stamped with Rod in Hand and straight line logos, fitted with optional check button and knurled adjustable spindle brake knob with oil hole, runs straight, retains lead and bronze finish. According to John Drewett`s book Hardy Brothers, The Masters The Men and Their Reels, pages 161-163 this reel dates 1894-1897/8, a much sought after example.
ROD: A rare Partridge of Redditch Staggered ferrule split cane brook rod, twin tips making rods of 4`8" and 6`1" long, bronze ferrule with cane extension plug, tan blank with full bridge butt ring, snake intermediates whipped ran tipped orange and black, keeper ring, shaped cork handle with ex light alloy reel rings, appears unused in cloth bag.
REELS (2): Early all brass trolling winch 3.5" diameter, 3" wide, single action, brass winding arm and turned wooden handle, one piece block foot, triple pillar with riveted ends, bronze finish, c1850 and a 4" Slater style mahogany/brass star back reel with tapered bone handles and central locking nut.
REEL: A fine Farlow of London 4" Patent Lever No 2134 bronze salmon wide drum reel with half coin drag adjuster to backplate, fully script engraved, oil hole to spindle, shapes cow horn handle, square slot block foot, constant check clicker, face engraved HML, retains virtually all original bronzing, fine.

ROD: A rare Pezon et Michel Bretonvillier PPP 7`6" staggered ferrule split cane fly rod No 0403CB2795, Realise pour Mr Ponsot. Roger, in as new condition, full butt and tip ring, snake intermediates whipped green tipped red, nickel ferrule with extension cane stopper, keeper ring, line rated no. 4/5, 10" cork handle with bronze anodised upper screw and lower fixed reel fittings, fine in makers red cloth bag and outer leather covered protective tube.
