Ca. AD 1600 - 1700.A Czeczuga Tatar saber with a long slightly curved single blade. It has a narrow ridge along the back of the blade, and a double-edged bayonet-tip. The blade has three rhomb marks with dots on one side of the blade. The bronze guard has a nice natural patina. The characteristic pistol-shape pommel has a lower ornamental section with horizontal lines and a row of half-moon marks. The top of the pommel is decorated with deep half-moons. The wooden grip is covered with ray skin, iron rivets and bronze rosettes. Tatar sabers are very rare and only a few can be found in museums.
