(49.5cm.) high. * The base of the main body has a circular panel (which bears a cast mark), which is detached - the soldered joint has given way. A sheet of dark stained paper has been pushed into place to fill the hole. There is a large casting hole beside the top of one of the elephant supports, plus two other smaller holes and several splits to the bronze around the underside. Both sides of the body have a patch where the patination has been polished through. The casting is fairly roughly finished across the piece. Both of the handles are only fixed by the top legs of the lions, so they can move and the back legs have caused some scratching to the surface patination.
