Lot 687

A pair of Art Nouveau WMF style three branch bronze candelabra, with stylised decoration, 31 cm high (2) See illustration Condition report Report by GH The pair of three branch candelabras: On one of the two candelabras - just starting at the top, all three branches are loose and there is a recent repair on one of the arms, where it attaches to the body with a modern screw. The arms on the other candelabra are also loose in two places, otherwise the castings on both the candelabra are good with no obvious damage. Moving down to the stems of these candelabras there is evidence of an older surface coating which has mostly been rubbed off to leave a patinated bronze finish. There appear to be no missing parts with the exception of the screw that has been replaced as mentioned earlier. One to two of the arms are possibly slightly bent or misshapen and there appear to be no cracks and we could not find any numbers or marks on these.
