Attributed to FERDINAND PREISS; an Art Deco bronze and ivory figure of a female dancer, her cap, chest garment and shorts of bronze, the remainder of her body carved from ivory, unsigned, raised on onyx plinth, height 26.5cm (af). CONDITION REPORT: The figure is apart from her base, the tip of her right foot has been broken off and remains in the base, there are five age cracks to her legs, both arms are slightly loose, there is a small crack to the back of her neck and a few stress cracks to her arms and a chip to her left armpit. Fingers complete. Base has two or three tiny nibbles but nothing significant. Sizes of figure: Arm span is 18cm; 19.8cm width; 19cm height. Base size: height 7.6cm; width 12.8cm; depth 6.5cm.
