A superb antique late 19th century Victorian naval bi-corn hat by makers Gieve Matthews & Seagrove Ltd of London, Portsmouth & Devonport. The hat in superb original condition, Beaverskin construction, with all bullion wire work still present. Within it's original and correct tin (with Gieve makers plaque present). A bronze plaque to the front of the tin reads ' Comd. HW Broadbent RNR '. Broadbent was a noted Victorian Naval Commander, who sailed aboard HMS Conway, and founded their ' Conway Club ' in 1910. A rare example of an antique Naval bi-corn hat, with provenance.
A 19th Century Italian bronze figural group of Romulus and Remus suckling from the she-wolf, raised on a marble base CONDITION REPORTS Chip to base. Both Rolulus and Remus slightly loose to the base, some light scratches throughout, some small signs of wear and tear - see images. Approx at the base 13 cm x 7.75 cm. Height of wolf approx 7 cm
