Two Polished Bronze Skillets; One cast with motto along the handle: `Ye WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH`, 4½ ins (11.5 cms) in height, 7 ins (18 cms) in diameter, 16½ ins (42 cms) overall width. The other cast with the initials `WH3` (?) along the reeded handle and three spiked leaves rising from each foot, 5½ ins (13 cms) high, 8 ins (20 cms) diameter, 16 ins (41 cms) overall width.
A 17th Century Bronze Mortar. The ring turned bell-shaped body decorated with a cast rosette beneath a crown (worn) and measuring 4 ins (10 cms) in height, 5 ins (13 cms) in diameter. An 18th century French/English iron spiral candlestick; the coiled strap stem with rotating candle height adjuster, a hook handle to the top and turned treen base 8½ ins (21.5 cms) high. A pair of late 18th Century steel scissors with decorative filigree handles and gilt nail head embellishments to the pivot, 7½ ins (19 cms) in length.
ASuperb & Rare 16th Century Italian Bronze Mounted Wrought Iron Faldistorio. The folding curved X-form frame stamped with decoration and slung with a seat of leather straps. The uprights surmounted by four fine cast bronze finials, 33 ins (84 cms) high, 24 ins (62 cms) wide, 17½ ins (45 cms) deep.
