A Russian Miniature Bronze Bell, cast with floral strapwork, cartouche and figures in low relief, surmounted by an orb and cross on four scroll brackets, with an iron clapper, the inner rim inscribed with commemorative detail, 15 cms high. * n.b. This bell is a facsimile of the Tsar Bell situated in the grounds of the Kremlin, founded by Ivan Motorin and his son Mikhail in 1733-1735. The bell was never rung - during a fire in 1737 a huge piece cracked off while still in the casting pit. After the fire the bell remained in the pit until 1936 when it was placed on a stone pedestal in its present position. Together with A XVII Century Bronze Mortar, of bell shape, cast with three portrait medallions, acanthus over a band of leafy tendrils, 12 cms high (cracked).
A pair of French cobalt ground slender oviform vases and covers, in Sèvres style, gilt bronze mounts, painted with oblong cisélé gilt panels of lovers by G Daret, one signed, flowers to the reverse, the covers with panels of birds and flowers and pineapple knop, 46cm h, painted pseudo interlaced Ls in blue, late 19th c. ++One vase and cover broken and riveted with small losses. The gilding on the bronze original but in need of cleaning
Two French pot pourri vases and covers, in Sèvres style, with gilt bronze mounts, painted with watteauesque scenes in gilt frames, the covers with bands of flowers, reserved on a bleu celeste ground, 29cm h, painted pseudo interlaced Ls, late 19th c . ++The ovoid vase with some re-touching of the gilding and restored cover, glued in situ but of fine appearance. The other vase with slight wear to the gilding
A pair of French cobalt ground 'jewelled' vases, in Sèvres style, with gilt bronze mounts, painted on the tapered oviform vase with putti in clouds, signed "F Boucher", in a cisélé gilt cartouche with flared neck and foot, 36cm h, c1900. ++The gilding on the bronze mounts rubbed in places. In good condition, not regilt or restored. Note: of typical construction in elements held together with a long rod secured by a nut which is present. The elements have been glued to prevent their working loose. In places small areas of glue residue are visible.
A flambé vase, of bottle shape covered in a fine crimson streaky-mottled glaze, 33cm h, 18th or early 19th c, later gilt bronze mounts and lamp fitment. ++Neck slightly reduced and as a result some chipping around the top of the neck; mounted in the late 19/early 20th c in good quality mounts probably initially as an oil lamp. No professional restoration

The extensive collection of papers, photographs, medals and mementos of the British Olympic team member Jean Gilbert, the medals comprising Southern Counties Amateur Swimming Association bronze 1933, gold 1934; Amateur Diving Association bronze and silver 1934, gold 1935 (2); XI Olympiad commemorative bronze medallion, by H Noack Berlin, 70mm and competitor's bronzed badge on blue ribbon, numbered 4294; Amateur Swimming Association England v Germany, Wembley 23 & 24 July 1937, gilt bronze; Southern Counties Amateur Swimming Association gold 1937 and silver 1938, British Empire Games, Sydney Australia 1938; octagonal bronze medal and competitors badge numbered 260; together with various silver and bronze swimming and diving medals, small silver trophy cups and a large quantity of photographs, some signed, printed ephemera and other memorabilia, including Jean Gilbert's black wool one-piece swimming costume worn at the Olympic Games, her scrapbook of signed photographs of Olympians and others and commemorative publications, Union flag, the swastika armband, etc. The fourteen year old Jersey girl Jean Gilbert (b1919) took up diving in 1934 and proved so successful in competitions throughout the UK that she was selected for the 1936 British Olympic team. At the Games in Berlin she secured seventh out of twenty-two places in the platform diving competition, gaining 30.16 points. The gold and silver medals were won by Americans, a German was awarded bronze and the only other British team member was placed eighteenth. ++++
A French bronze statuette of a Parisian street vendor, the Daumier-esque itinerant on cobbled base and swept cavetto plinth with spilled money sacks and scurrying rats, light to medium brown patina rubbed in places, 24cm h, c1880. ++The match or other small item in the figure's right hand slightly damaged and with some accretion of dust or greenish grime in the detail but of good quality and unusual

A French glass and gilt bronze chandelier, of twelve lights with trellis frame, the circlet mounted with four oval jasper ware medallions and with cascading rivulets of glass briolette cut beads with festoons and larger tear shaped pendants beneath a domed corona and acanthus rose, 109cm h, early 20th c . ++The old coating of lacquer discoloured in places and with much build up of dust and grime over the original gilding. One of the jasper ware plaques broken and glued, originally with four smaller jasper ware plaques at the top, these no longer present, the oval ormolu frames only remaining
A George IV gilt bronze candelabrum of two lights on acanthus clad scrolling branches with coronae of palmettes, baluster pillar and domed circular foot, lead- weighted, 40cm h. ++Very dusty and with some discolouration and wear of the original lacquer finish. Originally intended to be hung with glass pendants now lacking. Basically in good condition but requires cleaning
A Restauration gilt bronze clock, of pillar shape with enamel dial and Breguet hands, the arched pediment with tympanum of Putto, the front with a frieze of putti, tethered butterflies and vase of flowers, on plinth and milled feet, the movement with circular plates, silk suspension, outside countwheel and bell, 39cm h . ++The enamel dial chipped and cracked but in otherwise good original and complete condition, no regilt, the movement in apparently going order
