A fine French gilt bronze sculptural mantel clock by Letaute, Paris, the white enamel dial with black Arabic numerals and restrained blue and gilt swags, flanked by Cupid and a child warrior beneath a burning torch and two doves, the base with lion claw feet, height 26.5cm. Condition Report: The gilding on the clock is good but rubbed on the high spots as you would expect. The enamel on the dial is good. There are two small holes, one by the foot of the cherub with the arrow and another on the seated cherub. I think there are casting holes. We are not sure that the arrow held by the standing cherub is original and we think the clock has been restored.
