A Bronze XXVII Inniskilling Boxing Medallion, awarded to CHARLES ALLUM. ** In 1905 "Charlie" Allum had a genuine claim to the British middleweight (10 stone 10 pounds limit) title. According to his medal index card, 47933 Sergeant Charles Allum 13th Bn. Royal Inniskilling Fusilers was posted to France in 1915. Charlie was killed in action in France on 21st July 1918 aged 41 years, and posthumously awarded the Military Medal for bravery. He has no known grave but his name is on the First World War Memorial in the cemetery at Ploegsteert in Belgium.

(nicks to blade, blade shortened at tang)
