Iron Age, an enamelled-bronze harness-strap fitting, 1st century AD, a flat disc with two conjoined trumpets forming a reversed S motif, field around with red enamel and beading around the rim; on the underside is a loop situated towards the edge with a rearward-tapering hook attached to the side, 24mm diameter by 14mm deep, including hook. Very fine with an olive-green patina and 90% of the enamel intact £400-£600 --- Provenance: Found in South Cambridgeshire (PAS BH-EF2C40) It is a close match in style to chariot horse trappings
Romano-British, a bronze votive axe head, 2nd century AD, wedge-shaped head decorated on one side with two incised parallel lines with a circular socket ending in a spherical knob, 32mm long by 23mm wide. Very fine with an olive-green patina £60-£80 --- Provenance: Found in South Cambridgeshire (PAS BH-2A3485) Votive axes are normally associated with temple sites
Romano-British, a bronze buckle, 3rd-4th century, a hoop with two facing dolphins, integral openwork connecting plate with ring and dot pattern with a hinged pin; together with a rectangular buckle plate decorated with incised grooves and a zigzag pattern [2]. First missing part of the plate, both with smooth green patina £60-£80 --- Provenance: Found at Ickborough (Norfolk)
Anglo-Saxon, a bronze cruciform brooch, 6th century, with integral top knob, semi-circular in section with moulded collar, head plate with expanded wings, punched v-shaped decoration, arched bow, rectangular lappets and animal head terminal with prominent eyes and scrolled nostrils. Green patina, repaired below bow £80-£100
Anglo-Saxon, a gilt-bronze circular shield boss apex mount inset within an iron base, mid-6th century, the central design chip carved with a spiral cross surrounded by two segmented animals in profile of Salins style 1 with a crouching leg with claws, and a rounded head, 40mm diameter by 10mm deep. Very fine with deposits in the recesses £800-£1,000 --- Provenance: Found in South Kesteven (Lincolnshire), June 2021 (PAS LIN-1F3D6D). Iron shield bosses are usually plain, but a few examples have an attached decorative mount; three others are recorded on the PAS website
Anglo-Saxon, a bronze buckle, 7th century, in the form of a stylised horse head with blue glass eyes and decoration in the centre of four straight grooves; at the top is a recessed panel which contains three rivets and the pin with an opening for a small strap to pass, 32mm long by 9mm wide. Complete, with an olive green patina £100-£150 --- Provenance: Found at Tewkesbury before the PAS scheme was introduced. Believed to be from a helmet similar to the one found at Sutton Hoo

10th-11th century, a gilt-bronze cloisonné brooch, inlaid green glass star-shaped pattern with a white centre and blue glass semi-circular panels around; eight peripheral lugs with alternate blue and green glass beads, five remaining, hinged pin (missing), 3.2cm diameter. Very fine, one lug missing £240-£300 --- Provenance: Found in Gloucestershire
14th century, a bronze mount with seated figure of St Agnes as a young girl with coiled hairstyle in long robes holding a lamb in her raised right hand; two rivet holes, one with a pin present for attachment with a flat back, 4.7cm long by 3.2cm wide. Very fine with an olive green patina £100-£150 --- Provenance: Found near the Cistercian abbey of Cleeve at Washford in Somerset (PAS SOM-5CA9DD). St Agnes is the patron saint of gentleness and purity
14th century, a bronze Lion of St Mark, a solid cast lion with head facing forwards with a protruding tongue, seated on its hind legs with a looping tail; a circular opening on the back where the wings were attached, 37mm long by 30mm high by 17mm wide. Right front leg missing, otherwise olive-green patina with clear detailing £100-£150 --- Provenance: Found in South Oxfordshire The lion is possibly part of an altar cross representing one of the four Evangelists

A Maison Jansen French Brass and Gilt Black Lacquer Coffee Table. Black lacquer panel with gilt chinoiserie floral and bird motif. Mid-20th century (of that period) coffee table with 18th-century Chinese gilt lacquer panel set within gilt-brass frame styled as bamboo with x-shaped stretcher intersecting in a ring. The exquisite gilded bronze mount frame is of the highest casting quality. Such exceptional condition of the panel is extremely rare.
