Finnegan's Debutante Accessory Mascot, c1920s A rare 'Ballerina Girl' accessory mascot designed by G. Poitvin, 1924-1926, well-detailed silvered bronze figure of a ballerina girl gazing down at the ground, holding the corners of her dress up, whilst standing on her tip-toes, with Contenent Le Lievre foundry stamping to the side of the base. Signed by the sculptor, with numbers. Approximately 15cm tall & display-base mounted.
Mercury the Winged Messenger Accessory Mascot "Mercury the god of commerce, travel and thievery, who always carried a caduceus". This style of mascot was adopted in 1914 by the British Royal Signals. First seen portrayed as a mascot in 1917 in an advertisement for Mayo Radiators New Haven Conn. Sales office was at 50th Street and Lancaster Avenue Philadelphia. A very well detailed and attractive bronze accessory mascot, mounted to a marble display base, with affixed Isle of Man Manx Cat badge. 23cm tall.
Rolls-Royce Schneider S6B Seaplane Mascot A very attractive Schneider S6B Seaplane accessory radiator mascot, circa 1929 period, stamped 'Rolls-Royce' to the underside of one of the floats. As produced to commemorate the famous Schneider Trophy Races on the South Coast of England at the time, and reputedly awarded to the engine designers, pilots, winners, and officials. Nickel silver finish, on bronze base metal, earlier multi-component example. Good condition and mounted to a large nickel-plated dogbone radiator cap from the same period.
A Bentley 'Icarus' Mascot, Signed Gordon Grosby Signed, heavy silvered bronze with good detailing, wingspan 7ins, mounted on a large wooden display base. This piece was a result of a special commission from Bentley to find an alternative option to the winged B mascot. An example sold for £800 in 1980 at Sothebys Belgravia, London, a World Record Price at the time. See page 106, Automobilia by Gordon Gardiner & Alistair Morris.
A Rare 'Three Bulldogs' Mascot by Marvel, French, 1923 Signed on the post, silvered bronze depicting three French Bulldogs held back by chains, 4?in high, mounted to a period 'dog-bone' radiator cap. This mascot design won the First Prize at the Concourse de L'Auto, Paris in 1923. Very good original condition, with chains intact and very light discolouration to the plating.

A Rolls-Royce Factory Prototype or Mystery Mascot, circa 1911 An unusual and exciting piece of Rolls-Royce ephemera, that has baffled historians and enthusiasts for many years. Reputedly the missing link between the 'Whisper' and 'Spirit of Ecstasy' mascots that were first fitted to the 40/50HP silver ghost motorcars of 1911.Constructed from silver-plated bronze, the piece sports many distinguishing features linking it to both mascots; These include the fluttering robes of the 'Whisper' and the swept-back arms found on the 'Spirit of Ecstasy' (plus remarkably similar facial features and feet).The mascot is offered in very good original condition, with some light wear and discolouration to the plating, commensurate with age. Fitted to a later Rolls-Royce cap as a display base, the mascot measures 12cm tall and was formerly on display in the premises of 'The London Horseless Carriage Company'. Surely one of the most important Rolls-Royce offerings of recent years.
Rolls-Royce Spirit of Ecstasy Mascot - 40/50 HP Silver Ghost A good nickel-silver plated bronze example, as fitted to 40/50HP Silver Ghost models of the c1912 - 14; signed to the base by sculptor Charles Sykes and marked 'Rolls-Royce Limited Feb 6th 1911' to the circumference of the base. The mascot correctly features no under-wing markings and a hollow under-base area. Offered in good condition and display-base mounted.

An Extremely Rare 1911 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost Mascot A magnificent Edwardian Rolls-Royce Spirit of Ecstasy mascot for the 40/50HP six cylinder Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost automobile, this being the rarest type, produced for only 6 months back in 1911, having various correct period dating features including the hollow under base area & most importantly the words 'Rolls-Royce Limited 6th FEBRUARY 1911' around the base area, as opposed to all other Ghost mascots which read 'Rolls-Royce Ltd FEB 1911'. This rare mascot features the signature of Charles Sykes across the top of the base area and no under-wing markings, which is correct on all pre-World War One examples. A stunning and impressive item of the very finest detail, deep original pre-war nickel-silver plated finish on bronze base metal, mounting stud and fittings, mounted to a display base.

Reputedly presented to a selection of professional drivers in period by the B.R. & S.C.C. Mounted to a wooden display base and offered in good original condition. A similar piece that was presented to Jochen Rindt in 1971 sold at a Christies auction in 2011 for $1,434.
The Vintage Motorcyclist' Accessory Mascot A superb pre-war British accessory mascot, featuring the chubby Edwardian motorist clutching his motorcycle handlebars, in period dress. Plated-bronze construction and mounted to a period radiator cap. 9cm tall. A scarce mascot, in good original condition.
An Excellent 'Whisper' Mascot for Rolls-Royce Ltd, Signed C. Sykes The 'Whisper' mascot was produced after John Walter Edward Scott-Montague, the second Lord Montague of Beaulieu, commissioned his friend Charles Sykes to sculpt a personal mascot for the bonnet of his Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost; Sykes chose Eleanor Thornton as his model, her being the secret love & secretary of Lord Montague. Sykes set about crafting the figurine of her in fluttering robes, pressing a finger against her lips, symbolizing the secrets of their love. The figurine was consequently christened The Whisper & was optionally fitted to other 40-50HP Silver Ghost cars of the c1911 - 1914 period. This totally correct example, offered in good original condition, features silver plating over the bronze base metal (some tarnishing and loss), with Charles Sykes signature to the base area. Display-base mounted and one the best examples of an early Rolls-Royce mascot we have had the pleasure of offering. Provenance - Formerly on display at the premises of the London Horseless Carriage Company.
Malcolm Campbell Ephemera A rare Brooklands Junior Car Club (J.C.C) car badge, 1930s period, numbered J2779, complete with a J.C.C. membership card, with signature of the secretary of the J.C.C plus one reading 'Malcolm Campbell' - display base mounted. Together with a large silver-plated bronze/enamel member's lapel badge from the same estate. Plus, a cloth Union Jack pennant, c1930s, signed in pencil 'M. Campbell', together with a menu from the centenary of the 'Ancient Order of the Foresters Friendly Society', signed to the cover 'M. Campbell' - Malcolm Campbell was reputedly a guest speaker at the event, held on 26th October 1934, however he doesn't feature in the table plan. (5)
