A FIRST WORLD WAR CASUALTY TRIO TO THE NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIERS. Comprising 1914-15 Star, War Medal and Victory Medal named to Capt. G.T. Parkinson, North.D Fus. (unmounted). G.T. Parkinson is listed as Lieutenant from 31/7/10 and Captain from 9/19/12. He is listed as 'Missing believed wounded' on the War Office Casualty List issued on 28/4/15. Despite being 'missing' he returned from the war with T.B. from 15/7/17 he is listed as Major, Acting Lieutenant Colonel in the 4th Battalion (reserves). Together with an Elkington bronze medal awarded to Parkinson, G Company for his part in winning the Winter training shield, 1912-13, (in case of issue) and an Iron cross, 2nd Class.

Avrelianensis', reverse: France leaning on a shield and bowing before the Duke 'Devotvm. Et. Felix. Galliae. Obseqvivm'. Dated 1715 to the exergue, 44mm. Philip II became Regent of France in 1715 until his death in 1723 and was the last French Regent. This medal is from a series detailing the Regency.
