A FINE QUALITY 17TH/18TH CENTURY CHINESE GILT BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER & STAND, the censer weighing 2.3Kg, the stand weighing 1.74Kg, the shoulders with loop handles, the base cast in the form of overlapping petals, the whole with good patina and traces of gilding, the base of the censer cast with an archaic Xuande seal mark, 4.8in high overall, the stand 7in diameter, the censer itself 7.9in wide including handles & 5.7in diameter at rim & 4.5in diameter at innerrim & 3.2in high to rim. (Formerly the property of an American museum)
