A pair of small bronze late 18th century or early 19th century swivel cannon, mounted on stirrup shaped iron peg mounts. Of tapering multi-stage form with prominently raised mouldings and flared muzzle, vent within a raised rectangle, plain trunnions centrally positioned on the second reinforce, knob-shaped cascabel, Rich green patina. One bears indistinct foundry mark with impressed letter 'E' below, on the first reinforce, other has no discernible marks. Each cannon bears a raised shield-shaped cartouche between the trunnions, which on one cannon clearly depicts a stylised dolphin or sea creature upon waves, the other is less distinct. Length 24 inches, bore 1 inch. (See illustration)
