Figure of Parvati made with lost wax casting by the Indian artist Varada Rajan, head of the "Bronze Creative" atelier in Tamil Nadu. The sculpture meets the traditional aesthetic canons of the 9th century, respecting the proportions canonized in the ancient Indian sutras.Bronze Creative is considered among the best ateliers in the sub-continent being then a supplier of devotional bronzes for the most important public and private temples. In 1999 the atelier was awarded the state sculpture prize.
