A French Empire ormolu and brown patinated bronze fountain clock, circa 1820, the eight day movement with silk suspension striking the hours and half hours on a bell via an outside countwheel, the back plate stamped `A.C. Decauville À Paris`, the engine turned gilt dial similarly inscribed, framed by a silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and a cast gilt flowerhead surround, the urn surmount issuing three spiralled glass `water` rods, running to three silvered scallop shells, the rectangular case with gilt columns flanking a gilt mask issuing a further glass rod, above a rectangular pierced Gothic arch base enclosing a cut glass reservoir, on gilt griffin feet, height approx 48cm, with pendulum and key.
A small group of antiquities, including a buff clay cuneiform tablet, length approx 3cm, an Egyptian bronze shabti figure of Osiris, probably 5th/6th dynasty, typically cast wearing Atef crown, with arms crossed holding a crook and flail, height approx 11cm, a turquoise faience shabti, three other pottery shabti and various pottery fragments.
A pair of George III Adam style gilt cast bronze candlesticks of Neoclassical design, the beaded sconces above ovoid nozzles, decorated with floral swags, above tapering stems, cast in relief with ram masks and cartouche pendants, the flared square bases decorated with foliate scrolls and stiff leaf bands, on reeded tapering feet, height approx 21cm.
