A late 19th century bronze figure group modelled as four putti beside a rearing goat, on marble base, unsigned, width 23cm. Condition Report: The goat has a broken leg, it is still attached but loose, a couple of the other figures are also a little loose, minute tiny chip to round the base of the marble, but the figure a good even dark brown colour throughout.
AFTER VALENTINO BESAREL (1829-1902); bronze figure of a putti with a bird by his waist and raised on a circular marble base, height 46cm, with signature to the bronze. Condition Report: A dark green colour throughout, a couple of tiny chips to the base rim of the marble base, light surface scratches but overall condition is good.
A pair of late 19th century French bronze figures of classical maidens, on circular bases, height 41cm.Condition Report: These figures are bronze not spelter. They are fixed to the base therefore, we cannot ascertain if they are solid or partial hollow etc.Patin of the bronze is a deep colour which is fairly even throughout with only some rubbing to the high areas of detail. A few small knocks and scuffs to the surface. Both bases with many small chips and losses. Screw to the underside of the base is untarnished and may not be original. One of the cloth lining to the underside of base partly detached.
AFTER MAURICE MAIGNAN (French, 1842-1946), a bronze figure of a woman holding a pipe with a bird resting on her shoulder, on integral socle base, with signature to the bronze, height 38cm.Condition Report: Good even dark brown colour throughout with just very minor surface wear, there are two pin sized holes running through the base indicating it may have been pinned to something originally.
H. S. MCHEN; an Art Deco bronze figure of a nude figure raised on a polished stepped base, signed to the base rim, height 39.5cm.Condition Report: The screw thread is slightly longer than the base meaning it is wobbling a little. Good dark brown colour throughout, just very minor surface wear.

Manner of Niccolo Roccatagliata. A substantial pair of bronze andirons, 17thC and possibly later, each having a putti surmounted on a triform column supported by satyrs standing on ram's mask, over an arrangement of a figure seated on a lion flanked by putto standing on sea monsters, each supported by an iron two-prong stand, 92cm high. Literature of interest: For comparison see heads of candlesticks, figs 71 & 72 and plates 68 & 69 Bronzes and other Metalwork and Sculpture in the Irwin Untermeyer Collection. Provenance: The Great House Collection, Kegworth. Acquired at auction from Locke & England in Leamington Spa over 40 years ago, exactly which sale is unknown. This lot is to be sold WITHOUT RESERVE.

A Japanese bronze vase, the patinated ovoid body applied with a high relief well rendered dragon to the shoulders, the body with a low relief dragon, a phoenix and stylised clouds, the trumpet shaped wavy rim over a slender round neck. H30cm, W22cm. Cast with foundry seal to the base, Meiji period, late 19th century.
A French gilt and patinated bronze mantel clock, Louis XIV style, surmounted with a bronze sculpture with a theme from the Greek mythology, Chronos or Cronos keeper of time, holding an hourglass and a sickle or harvesting scythe next to Clio a woman writing on a plaque, recording events. This is a theme depicted on many clocks from the Baroque era. The circular dial with Roman numbers, set in a waisted Rococo style case with acanthus scrolls, floral garlands and a classical mask. The movement marked 'Rollin à Paris' and 'Japy Freres - Medailles d'or - Annees 1823 27 34 39 44 49' and numbered '467 6', the sculpture numbered '4120'. With pendulum and winding key. H 54cm, W 42cm, D 16cm, early 19th Century.
