ASSORTED COLLECTABLES comprising an 18th century set of balance scales by Samuel Read, in original wooden box with paper label to lid interior; a near complete 19th century pack of playing cards (51/52); a B.F.C. sporting cap, dated 1911-12; an Edward VII coronation mug, presented by the Borough of Chard, August 1902; an Edward VII bronze coronation medal, August 1902, in case of issue; a pre-Columbian style pottery figurine; and other items.
* A Nubian bronze seated cat. Height 10 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This cat does not appear to have any repairs or restoration. As you can see from the image the piece is quite heavily tarnished and pitted. There is also a small loss to the bottom edge of the piece and a hole on either side which looks to have been drilled. We are not sure if the holes are original to the piece or later. Our images should show the extent of the pitting
* A bronze standing male figure, probably Roman, nude, raised on a wooden base. Height excluding base 15 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This figure is in generally good condition. We can see no evidence of any repairs or restoration. It is difficult to tell whether the item draped over the lower arm is complete. We are not sure what this is. There is some pitting and discolouration to the figure but no significant issues.
* A collection of archeological bronze and metal animals and figures, etc., including seated cat, horses, stylised lions, etc. Tallest 17.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The largest of the three mounted animals has some losses to both the base and body. The medium size animal has losses to the rear. The smaller of the three appear to be in good order with no issues. The two metal vessels are badly pitted and discoloured and are as you see them in the image. The three small metal horses are in good order. The small seated cat figure has a missing point to the ear, the ivory donkey is in good order. The owl has a small loss to the rear foot.
