The animal is modelled in a stylised manner with emphasised facial features, such as a head of an eagle, tongue protruding from mouth and talons as front feet. The Moon was personified as Mani, brother to Sol the Sun, and is abundantly represented in Norse literature. Ca. 100-300 ADA fine, penannular armilla-type bracelet made of bronze. Armillae were armband-style bracelets awarded as a military decoration. The rank of the soldier in question determined the metal from which the bracelet was made either gold, silver or bronze. Ca. 100-300 ADA cast bronze balsamarium with slender neck with multi-circled rim and circular base that were both soldered to a gently tapering body hammered from a single sheet of bronze. The body, with its sinuous and elegant profile, the fineness of the neck to enable good control when pouring expensive liquids. Balsamariums were used for storing balsam, the resinous, sap-like product of many different plants. Ca. 1100-1300 ADA finely modelled reliquary cross composed of three parts: two crosses that fit together, a large loop for suspension, and a hinged base. Made of bronze, it is decorated with the image of Christ with his arms outstretched on one side; the other side is decorated with a standing human figure. Each side depicts busts of saints in roundels. This type of cross could open and was made to hold a small relic or a prayer document. Relics, as the physical remains of saints or objects associated with Christ, held tremendous power in medieval Christianity. Such crosses were worn by the knights who fought in the Holy Lands. Ca. 700-1100 ADA bronze example of an axe or Perun amulet comprising a suspension loop and a stylised axe with a notched head, and incised decorating the outward-facing surface. This type of amulet is modelled after the axe Molnia and is often seen as a counter part to the common Mjolnir amulet.
