19TH CENTURY GILT BRONZE ARCHITECTURAL GOTHIC STYLE TWO TRAIN MANTEL CLOCK the case set with amethyst type semi-precious stones and having foliate engraved decoration, silvered Roman face with baluster finials and columns. French brass two train drum movement striking on one bell. The brass bob pendulum marked Leroy and Fills, Paris. 34cm high approx. (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Rather grubby but basically in good original condition.
19TH CENTURY GILT BRONZE 8 DAY BRACKET CLOCK in Georgian style with arch top, ball finials, circular silvered Roman dial flanked by quarter pilasters over a pierced panel frieze on platform base with bun feet. German peerless two train drum movement, striking on one gong. 41.5cm high approx.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Overall appearing in very good original condition, particularly clean with no obvious damage or losses. Includes key and pendulum.
EMILE CORIOLAN HIPPOLYTE GUILLEMIN, (French, 1841-1901), a pair of bronze figures of Renaissance soldiers, one holding crossbow aloft, the other with long banner, on socle bases, signed, originally gilded. 28 & 24cm high approx.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Originally these figures would be gilded ormolu, now polished bronze. A little grubby in places but no obvious damage, the flag staff is slightly bent, as is the crossbow, but no obvious damage or losses.
GILT BRONZE HINDU GODDESS FIGURE probably depicting Parvati, a torch or vase in her left hand on circular lotus leaf base with square foot. 26cm high approx. (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Has been broken above the base through the ankles and re-fixed. Rather grubby with some wear to gilding in places.
HEAVY CAST BRONZE FIGURE OF A SEATED BUDDHA with a peace swastika on the chest, seated on a lotus plinth. Together with another smaller heavy seated buddha figure (possibly bronze) with remnants of green and blue paint. 24cm and 8cm in height approx. (2)(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: The larger buddha has lost whatever he was holding from both hands and there is a chip and loss to one of his fingers. The smaller buddha, although only a little bit of paint remains, appears undamaged.
GOOD QUALITY CAST BRONZE INDONESIAN STYLE STANDING BUDDHA FIGURE, with his right hand raised in the abhaya mudra and holding the hem of his robe in his left hand (ekansika saughati), standing on a circular indented base, 29cm high approx. (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Very grubby in places, good patina overall, general wear and tear commensurate with age, no obvious missing parts or serious damage noted.
PAIR OF FRENCH PATINATED AND GILDED BRONZE TABLE LAMPS of egg shaped baluster form with relief decoration of birds and foliage, entwined loop handles on square rouge marble bases with gilt bronze classical paw feet, signed F Barbedienne. 54cm high approx plus fittings. Appearing to have been recently re-wired. (2)(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Some wear to gilding and patination commensurate with age.
A bronze spill holder, 19th century, in the form of a rotunda with classical columns supporting a 'tiled' roof, 8cm high, a pair of brass dwarf candlesticks, circa 1890, probably French, with copper strap work mounts and roundels, 9.5cm high, a patinated bronzed figure of a Buddah, 7.6cm high, an oval biscuit glazed paperweight with a figural scene after Teniers, 11cm wide, and an Asian carved wooden seated figure, 13.5cm high (6).
