After the Antique. A bronze figure of The Dying Gaul, 19th century, inscribed 'S BORDONI. F.' length 12.5in.The inscription may indicate this is a copy of a work by Francesco Bordoni (1580-1654). The Roman marble figure of the Dying Gaul, on which this figure is based, was rediscovered in the 1620s in Rome.

Attributed to Franz Xavier Bergman: a cold painted bronze model of a robin on a branch with textured buds, probable vase mark indistinct under tail, 15cms (6in.) long; together with other bronzes, to include: a golden pheasant, 13cms (5in.); a Pekenese, 4cms (1 1/2in.) high; and a rabbit, 3cms (1in.) long; and various other cold painted metal animals, including: a fox, a lion, a grouse, two owls, a deer and a dog.
