His left hand is artfully placed at his side, and his right hip is cocked suggestively. He raises his right forefinger playfully, looking down toward his left foot. 61cm high

A Korean bronze and mother of pearl inlaid vase decorated with a peacock, flowers and butterflies, inscribed "To Thomas Winston Roach, Limb Song Bon, Govener of D.H.C.C.", 19.5cm high CONDITION REPORT: Provenance : belonged to the vendors Grandfather who worked over in Korea after the 2nd World War for the Coal Board, upon his return to the UK he brought it back with him. The vendor gives an estimate of his return from Korea as sometime during the 1950s. some surface scratches, otherwise the overall condition is good.

CELTIC or ETRUSCAN. Figure. Circa 3rd-4th century BC antiquity / sculpture. Bronze, 139 mm high [250 cm high including base]. Provenance: metal detector find, UK - in the 1980s. There is a similar figure in the Museum of London collection. We understand the British Museum suggested that this figure was possibly not Celtic but perhaps Etruscan? [good condition].

Provenance: Luba Glade, USA in 1969 [1922-2009] – her ownership is recorded in the Jaffe book [see below]; private collection, UK, 2010 [acquired from her estate]. Literature: ‘The Sculpture of Leonard Baskin’, I. Jaffe, Viking Press, 1980, p.214. An excellent abstract head by this hugely underrated US artist, but very difficult to photograph to show the true quality. Most major public collections include his work including the Museum of Modern Art [New York] and the Tate Gallery. [good condition].
