Also included is a WWI pair of medals including British War Medal and Victory medal and bronze death penny plaque awarded to 26695 Private Herbert Gorvett, Gloucestershire Regiment. Footnote: included in a letter to Mrs Lock from Rev W J Havard, Caplain "he went into action with the Battaltion on the 18th of August and on the 28th was hit by an enemy bullet through the stomach... we were informed later he died of his wounds on the 31st". Lock was buried in Dozinghem British Cemetery near Ypres.
