This large original bronze represents a Ploughman (Le Laboureur) with two oxen pulling to dig furrows in the earth. French Realist artist Edouard Drouot sculpted this scene with astounding details and finished it with a beautiful patinated surface. The sculpture comes with an oblong wood base. Designed by Otto Placzek, the medal features an athletic figure stepping up onto a podium echoed five-fold, and the five rings and bell to the verso.
