A gilt bronze repeating eight day giant carriage clock by Barraud & Lund, London No.1357 with associated twin fusee movement, the arched 5 inch silvered dial with centred moon phases and twin winding holes within a ring of Roman numerals under a date aperture to the arch, the centre chased with scrolling leaves, the outer face engine turned, the four glass case with flush fitting handle and rectangular viewing window over an arched door to the front flanked by oval star cut side windows and an enclosed engine turned back the case with reeded corner half pilasters and pierced scrolling leaf frieze to the top and bottom, raised on splay short bracket feet, (with alterations) 17cm wide, 24.5cm high, 11cm deep NOTE: The majority of carriage clocks made by Barraud & Lund were when John Richard Lund (1805-1863) joined the firm Barraud which was established by eminent chronometer maker Paul Philip Barraud (1752-1820). The company became Barraud & Lund in 1838 trading at 41 Cornhill until 1889
